FRUIT LOGISTICA trend report: "Fresh Produce Trade 2025"
Outlook for the fresh produce business – Part 1/4 online now – First topic: "Key Trends and Drivers"
Berlin, 23 March 2017 – Who wouldn't want to peek into the future? The FRUIT LOGISTICA trend report "Fresh Produce Trade 2025" outlines perspectives for the produce industry. The report focuses on important business issues ranging from "What major changes do international experts see in the fresh produce sector?", to "Which topics will we be discussing in ten years?" and "What innovations will customers expect?"
To prepare for the trend report, interviews were conducted with international experts across the entire value chain. This helped identify the far-reaching changes from an industry perspective. The most relevant fields of action were defined with expert support from the renowned Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute, a Swiss think tank. The aim is to offer the industry ideas, incentives and insights, and to initiate a dialogue on future developments in the fresh produce business.
Commissioned by FRUIT LOGISTICA on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the trend report was presented at the "Fruitnet World of Fresh Ideas" on the day before FRUIT LOGISTICA 2017 opened. Part one of the report is now available online.
Wilfried Wollbold, FRUIT LOGISTICA Global Brand Manager: "This trend analysis is our way of thanking all fresh produce industry customers and partners. They have supported FRUIT LOGISTICA over the last 25 years and helped make it the leading fresh produce industry business platform."
The first issue of the four-part report deals with "Key Trends and Drivers". Parts two, three and four will follow in April, May and June 2017 with topics ranging from production, to distribution, and consumer behaviour.
