Is pre-competitive cooperation possible in the banana industry?

The World Banana Forum (WBF) is a space where the main stakeholders of the global banana supply chain work together to achieve consensus on best practices for sustainable production and trade. We believe collaboration is key for progress.

The Action Alliance for Sustainable Bananas (ABNB) is a German dialogue forum. It brings together representatives from trade, retail and politics as well as from consumer protection and civil society. The ABNB aims for a sustainable banana production and focuses particularly on climate change adaptation measures.

This multi-stakeholder panel will discuss efforts in the banana industry to enable global pre-competitive cooperation in order to achieve economic sustainability, with a specific focus on living wage initiatives and responsible business conduct.
